Anostraca These amphipods, invertebrate arthropods, are related to sand fleas. They look like tiny shrimp. They are gill breathers. Found in shallow fresh water. They are important as food for larger animals. Size: 0.5 - 0.75 inch. Notice: Long slender antennae. 11 pairs of legs. |
