Softshell turtles have leathery shells that bend. A flexible shell allows freedom of movement. Softshells move quickly, on land as well as in the water. They like to bask on sand and mud bars. They also dig into the mud bottom and stick their long snouts up for air. This Eastern Spiny Softshell has a very long snout. Size:Females: 7"
