South Central Missouri Watersheds Ozark Howell Oregon Douglas Texas Shannon Wright LaClede Camden Miller Maries Gasconade Crawford Phelps Pulaski Dent
Print version

This map shows the major rivers and their watersheds in south central Missouri. Using this map, find where your school is located.

1. Which river basin are you in? (Hint: you have two choices. Go back to the Rivers and Watershed of Missouri map if you're not sure)

2. What regional watershed are you in? (Hint: use the map legend, dude. It's the name of the major river).

3. Is your school located in more than one watershed? (It might be if you're on a ridgeline or divide)

4. Is your watershed completely within Missouri or is part of it in another state? (This map stops at the state line, but watersheds don't)

5. Using the map, click on your county to go to the individual maps of your local watersheds, and get the first part of your watershed address.

6. See the Watersheds Address Worksheet for instructions and printable handout.
